Update to Healthcare and Long-Term Care Protection

As of As of March 31, 2024, the maximum coverage limit for healthcare is $661,862. The maximum limit for health care benefits is increased or decreased based upon changes in the healthcare cost component of the consumer price index from January 1, 1991, to the date on which the insurer became insolvent.

The maximum coverage limit for health care for the following insolvencies is as follows:

Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Company: $465,553
SeeChange Health Insurance Company: $519,764
Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company: $560,929
American Network Insurance Company: $560,929

Liquidation Orders Entered for Penn Treaty & American Network Insurance Companies

On March 1, 2017, Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company (Penn Treaty) and its wholly owned subsidiary, American Network Insurance Company (ANIC), were placed in liquidation by orders of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
